Albert was raised in Greensville County and was employed in the logging industry working in pulp wood. Albert accepted Christ at Emporia Manor Nursing Home.
Albert was one of nine children, four brothers; James, Dennis, Rommie and Eddie, four sisters; Gracie Perkins Manning, Mary Lucy Avent, Viola Moore and Corene Atkins whom all preceded him in death. His special lifelong friend Caroline Pair also preceded him in death.
He is survived by one sister-in-law Dorothy Avent, two special nieces who cared for him faithfully, Melissa Boney, Thelma Robinson and a great niece Monique Avent, four generations of nieces nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Pearson Memorial Chapel in Emporia, Virginia. Interment will follow in the Avent Family Cemetery.
