Norma was born on April 26, 1918 in Minneola, Kansas, the daughter of Elmer and Nellie (McGonigle) Albus She was united in marriage to Ivan Krieger on February 27, 1938 in rural Ohio, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 12, 1984. She graduated from Ohio High School in 1935 and Siona School of Cosmetology in Kewanee, Illinois. She was a beautician at Roosevelt Square in Princeton, Illinois for many years, a member of the Women's Club in Ohio and a member of the First Lutheran Church of Ohio.
She is survived by one daughter Karen Carlson of Van Orin, Illinois; one son James (Elaine) Krieger of Princeton, Illinois; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one half brother Elmer (Betty) Albus Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Marilyn Gilbert, one granddaughter Rebecca Krieger May, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, with the Rev. Gene Vincent, pastor of the First Lutheran Church of Ohio, officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Ohio, Illinois. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. A memoiral has been established in her memory.
