JoAnn and her husband owned Everybody's Furniture in Mount Pleasant, Texas. She worked for many years in retail sales at their company and enjoyed the travels required by their business which took them to many different regions of the world. She faithfully supported him through the years in many other business, community, and church endeavors.
She was a homemaker who devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a dedicated member of the North Jefferson church of Christ in Mount Pleasant, Texas. She loved crossword puzzles, playing Canasta with her family, and taking care of those she loved.
In addition to her parents and husband, JoAnn is preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Lenelle and Hubert Hardy; sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Paul Unger; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Merle Reynolds; brother and sister-in-law James and Ruby Reynolds; and brother and sister-in-law Edson and Margaret Reynolds.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Vicki Miller of Mount Pleasant, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Joe Rigano of Glen Rose, Texas; son, Kent Miller of Wichita Falls, Texas; and daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Royce Armstrong of Mount Pleasant, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 4, 2021 at North Jefferson church of Christ in Mount Pleasant.
The service will be live streamed on the North Jefferson church of Christ YouTube page for those not able to attend.
