E. Blanche Buhler, 84, of Petosky, died Feb. 8, 1999, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Marge Ball, at Birch Shores in Trout Lake. She had made her home with them during her illness the past months.
Blanche was born Jan. 13, 1915, in Isabella County near Mount Pleasant. She lived most of her life in Midland, and owned Midland Blueprint Service, and previously worked for the City of Midland. She owned the Blueprint company for more than 16 years.
She and her husband, Walter O. Buhler, lived in Florida for 18 years. Following his death in 1982, she moved to Petosky soon after.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Treasure Island, Fla.
Survivors include her son, Thomas and his wife, Marge, of Trout Lake; one stepson, Walter O. Buhler Jr. and his wife, Ruth, of Santa Rosa, Calif., stepdaughter, Rose Marie and Robert Hagen of Madeira Beach, Fla.; 22 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the First United Methodist Church, Larkin Street, Midland. Her ashes will be interred at Garden of Peace Lutheran Columbarium, Treasure Island, Fla.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chippewa County. Envelopes for memorials are available at Dodson Funeral Home, 240 McCann St., St. Ignace, Mich. 49781.
