Patsy Frye, 79 of Texas City passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 in Texas City.

She was born on February 13, 1942 in Abilene, Texas to Morris and Estelle Hooks.

Patsy, also known by her grandchildren as Nane, lived in Texas City for over 53 year and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Texas City and more recently the Fellowship. She retired from Sterling Chemical after 30 years. Patsy loved baking for everybody and her specialties were Cowboy Cookies, Fudge and Banana Bread.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Wayne Hooks and Kenneth Hooks and nephew Michael Curd.

Patsy is survived by her daughters: Vicki Nichols and Jamie Frye; brother Dale Hooks, six grandchildren: Misti (Chester), Michael (Brittany), Sarahmarie, Joshua, Jacob (Skyler) and Loren, five great grandchildren: Luis, Marissa, Macaila, Zoey and Baileigh, nephews: Michael Curd, Jr., Jeffery Curd, Luke Hooks and James Hooks, her best friends: Judy Spain and Betty Tedder and special loved ones Greg and Cindy Narvez.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 11:00am -2:00pm at the James Crowder Funeral Home, La Marque with the service to follow at 2:00pm.
