Raymond H. Barnes, age 80, of Buffalo, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

He was a former employee of Thompson Sawmill and the Texaco in Elizabethtown.

Raymond was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Barnes; his parents, Benjamin and Roxie Hagen Barnes and four brothers, Edward, Ellis, Harold and Ernest Barnes.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda Locke Barnes; five daughters, Angela (Ronnie) Underwood of Upton, Kimberly (George) Gehr of Magnolia; Chasity (Ricky) Parks of Sonora and Renee (Jason) Joiner and Leslie (John) Dietrich, all of Elizabethtown; a son, Gary (Susan) Barnes of Upton; two sisters, Pauline Bottoms of Elizabethtown and Doris Davis of Florida; seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. (ET), Friday, November 26, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Jesse Gehr officiating. Burial will follow in the Lincoln Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery near Hodgenville.
