Jerry Steven Bailey, 53 of Poem Place, Princeton, died early Thursday morning, February 5, 2009 at the Maples in Bluefield. Born in Pineville on September 5, 1955, he was the son of the late Kenner Creed and Frances Lorraine Bledsoe Bailey. Jerry was a member of the Athens Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings: Peggy L. Haga, David A. Bledsoe, and Larry O'dell Bailey. Survivors include: his children, Stephanie Michelle Bailey of Huntsville, Alabama, Anthony Jason Freeman Bailey of Fairlawn, Virginia, and Adam Joseph Creed Bailey of Hazel Green, Alabama. Siblings: Delcie C. Vance, Kenner C. Bailey Jr., Thomas R. Bailey, Janice V. Bailey, Judith D. McAmish, and Donald D. Bailey. The family has honored Jerry's request to be cremated. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
