Jane came with her unmarried sister and widow mother Janette Creigh to America arriving in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on June 10, 1790. Ref. Pennsylvania Genealogies, By: William Henry Egle M.D., M.A., Reprint of the second edition page 594. The fourth series Notes and Querries 1892 the "The Creigh Family" records daughter, Jean, married to David Barr in 1785 and not married on May 21, 1786, on page 298. Notes and Querries differs on the year they arrived in Carlisle recording the year 1791 and, daughter, Jean's husband was named Hugh McCleary. The 1790 US census began on Monday, August 2, 1790, and was finished within 9 months under the rules and directions established in an Act of Congress approved March 1, 1790. The census was completed in May 1791. James Armour was recorded with two females and one male under 16. Jennet Crage is recorded on the same page with only one female in her house whole. The last page of the 1790 census is signed and completed March 24, 1791. The 1790 census proves Jennett Creigh and two unwedded daughters arrived before March 1791. Jane married James Hamilton Armor in Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, By the Rev. R. Davidson on November 2, 1790. Birth, marriage, and death dates recorded in family Bible.

Gravesite Details

The Cemetery for decades was not maintained and was allowed to be very overgrown. It has obviously been vandalized as many of the markers are missing. Only one original headstone can be found that is dated in the 1830's.
