Edd was born July 3, 1922, in Sweden, Mo., a son of Thomas and Minnie Fleetwood Rippee. He moved to Idaho in the 1940s. He worked in the fruit orchards, dairies, farming and for Davis Cattle Company in Bruneau for several years. He was married to Charlotte Eager for 50 years when she died in 2006. They moved to Homedale in 1989.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved working on old vehicles and telling stories.
Edd is survived by a son, Tom and Charlotte Rippee of Wilder; two daughters, Kathy and Bill Hollandsworth of Eagle and Minnie Hobbs of Caldwell; his twin sister, Ettia Miller of Nampa, Idaho; and an older sister, Bessie Mercer of Seymour, MO; five grandchildren, Renee, Travis, Daniel, Charlie and Maudi, five great-grandchildren, Bailey, Sami, Dalton, Shaun and Kaitlinn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Charlotte, a son Tim, two sisters Lavernia Rippee, Goldie Davis, and four brothers: Jim, Columbus, Ezra and Bert Rippee.
