Arleathia DeFreese of Main Street, Chester, a housewife, American Indian, and a resident of the area for 31 years, died Saturday, October 26, 1991 at Horton Memorial Hospital, Middletown. She was 81.
She was born March 23, 1910 in South Carolina.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis L. DeFreese, at home; one son, James Kelly of Virginia; and five grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Lippincott Funeral Home, 104 Main St., Chester. Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Chester Cemetery, Chester.
