Funeral services for Mrs. Iva Pearl Eychner were held Saturday, Aug. 18, 1973, at the Christian Church in Jewell at 2:00 pm.. Rev. Ray Ward officiated. Kleppinger Funeral Home, Jewell, was in charge of arrangements.

Iva Pearl Eychner, a lifetime resident of Jewell, Kans., died Aug. 15, 1973, at Nicol Home, Glasco., where she had been a resident the past two and one half years. She had been in failing health preceding the critical illness.

Mrs. Eychner was born Nov. 22, 1884, to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bowles in the Mayview community near Jewell.

She spent her life as a housewife and devoted mother.

Mrs. Eychner was married to Eugene L. Eychner on April 14, 1902, at Mankato, Kans. They started their married life near the Eychnr homestead in the Mayview community. They farmed all of their life before retiring in Jewell in 1945.

She joined the Christian Church at Mayview at an early age.

Mrs. Eychner is survived by three children, Mrs. Fern Ross, San Raefel, Calif., Mrs. Telva Eychner, Freemont, Nebr., and Mrs. Arleen Blake, Glasco; and a grandson they raised from childhood, Leonard Heglund, Twin Falls, Ida.; seven grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Boyd Seamans, Kenneth Braden, Alfred Dunham, Loren Dawdy, clarence Topliff, and Ralph Bohnert.

Music, Ralph Stapleton, soloist; Mrs. Ivan Frank, organist.

Burial was in the Couch Cemetery near Jewell.
