Dale Hoffman
Dale Elizabeth Hoffman, 85, 409 N. 20th St., died late Friday night at a local hospital. A native of Grand Saline, Texas, she had been a resident of St. Joseph since 1962. Miss Hoffman was a 1914 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville, Mo. She was a 1924 graduate of the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. and was admitted to the Washington, D.C., bar the same year. She was employed by the Federal Reserve Board as a Research and Estate Analyst and had served in the same capacity for the American Bankers Association in New York. Prior to her retirement in 1960, she was employed by the State of New Mexico at Santa Fe, N. M., as a statistician for the State Welfare Department. Miss Hoffman was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in St. Joseph, the Amy Golding and St. Paula's guilds of the church and a member of the Ready Helpers. She was a former member of the Runcie Club of St. Joseph, a member of Zeta Tau Alpha social sorority and the Kappa Beta Phi fraternity. Survivors include two sisters, Helen A. Trapp, St. Joseph and Virginia B. Haberly, Vero Beach, Fla., three nephews and six great-nieces and nephews. Services will be today at 1:30 p.m., at the Chapel of the Seasons at Christ Episcopal Church. Cremation will follow the services. Services are under the direction of the Meierhoffer-Fleeman Funeral home.
