Mrs. Benton is preceded in death by her parents William Lester Glenn & Eva Sides Glenn; husbands Nix Thornton, Presley Vining, Charlie Benton; daughter Ann Thornton (Richard) Transue; son-in-law Sammy Sanford; sisters Louise Glenn Sanford, Miriam Glenn Graham; and great-grandson Donovan Hendrix. She is survived by her children Charlotte Slauson Smith, Sybil Thornton Sanford, Dale Thornton Klassen, Glen (Diane) Thornton; brother Bill (Jeanette) Glenn; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
