He was married to Pearl Elizabeth Carney (1911–1988).
Living in Nashville, Roy was 70 years old and married when he passed away on December 27, 1977.
Survivors included his widow Pearl, son John W Ingram, daughter Mrs Mary Taylor, brothers Bill Ingram, Fred Ingram, John Ingram and Buford Ingram, sisters Mrs Viola Allen, Mrs Ulree Reasoner and Mrs Evie Hodge, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held on December 30th at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, and burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
