OBITUARY

Arline Vincent, age 80, of Nashville, MI, passed away Sunday, October 31st, at Sparrow Hospital, in Lansing, MI

Arline was born in Oakland, CA on February 1, 1941, a daughter of the late Eva (Herrington) and Clare Johnson. When she was just a baby, Arline's family moved back to Michigan to be closer to their extended family. They made the trip in a Model A Ford with Arline's sister Colleen holding her the entire distance eventually settling in the Grand Ledge area. Arline attended local schools in Grand Ledge, but completed her education at Hastings High School when the family relocated to the Dowling area.

On April 19,1958, she was married to Mr. Alden Vincent in Lowell, MI., at the home of his grandparents. Alden & Arline began their lives together in the Dowling area, where they began their family. In 1967 they moved to their farmhouse in Nashville, MI where they raised their children together. The couple remained in the farmhouse and had the same telephone number for over 60 years. The summer months were preparing, planting, and harvesting in the family garden so Arline could carefully can the fresh vegetables for her family to enjoy throughout the winter.

Arline was a diligent and consciences worker who spent her entire working career at Kelloggs in Battle Creek, MI. During the retirement years, Arline and Alden enjoyed spending winters in Venice Florida. Alden & Arline had celebrated over 55 years of marriage when he passed away in 2012.

Arline was a member of Nashville Baptist Church and she loved spending time with her friends and church family. Her infectious smile and loving personality made her a perfect ambassador to tell people about Jesus. Everywhere Arline went, she openly shared her love of Christ and always had a tract to offer anyone who would listen.
