Bonnie Warburton

Bonnie Warburton died on October 15, 1994 of ovarian cancer. Although the cancer ravaged her body, it could not break her vigorous spirit or her unparalleled dignity. Through it all, she was a woman of distinctive class.

Bonnie's influence is permanently etched in the lives of those who loved her. We all share and carry a part of her that can never be lost. Those of us who were fortunate enough to know her are better people because of her.

There will be no formal memorial or graveside service. Instead, Bonnie's ashes will be scattered with her daughter's off the coast of San Diego in a simple ceremony. A private wake for family members will be held later this week. It is the wish of the family that our privacy be respected. Bonnie would have wanted it that way.

In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to Catholic Community Services, 2300 West 1700 South. You'll help keep Bonnie's generous spirit alive.

Remember

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half to go, yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more, day by day.
You tell me of our future that you planned:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve;
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A Vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sand.
