William Angell

IVINS/SALT LAKE CITY – William Truman Angell, 68, died Jan 9, 2000, in St. George. He was born Nov. 3, 1931, in Salt Lake City to Truman Alma and Jean Thompson Angelll. He married Geraldine in 1953. They were later divorced.

Mr. Angell was raised in Salt Lake City where he graduated from Granite High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean Conflict. After beomg discharged from the military, he returned to Salt Lake City, where he started Angell Construction Company. Mr. Angell ran a successful company, doing a lot of building in the Sandy area. He specialized in custom homes and fine carpentry. Mr. Angell moved to St. George in 1995 and has very much enjoyed his beautiful home and warm weather. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He was an active member of the Christian Science religion and enjoyed helping the church with its building projects. He was quiet, hardworking and honest; a loving father and grandfather. "We Will Miss You – Steve and Debbie."

He is survived by a daughter: Debbie (Anthony) Martinez of Taylorsville; a son: Steve (Martha) Angell of Ivins; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2000 at 2 p.m. in the Ivins City Cemetery, under the direction of Spilsbury and Beard Mortuary, St. George, 673-2454.
