Max Copeland, 77, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, in Gladewater. Max was born on January 19, 1944, in Gladewater to the late Earlton Elwood Copeland and Monty Ruth Oliver. He was a 1962 graduate of Gladewater High School. Mr. Copeland served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Max served in the 101st Airborne Division receiving the Army Commendation Medal. Max was Co-Owner of Walker's Well Service & Pipe Pulling before retirement and then worked for John Linder as a Pumper before his second retirement in 2018. Max enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. He was a devoted longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Gladewater. Max will not soon be forgotten by all the loving family and friends he leaves behind.

Max is survived by his daughter Laura Green and husband Warren of Gladewater; three grandchildren Lucas Green and wife Jamie Jo of Utica, MI, Ashlee Green Freeman of Longview and Lexi Green of Longview; great grandson Dawson Freeman; his beloved fur babies as well as many other loving family and friends.

Max is preceded in death by his loving wife Connie Copeland, parents E.E. Copeland and Monty Ruth Copeland and his brother Robert Copeland.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Gladewater with Bro. Bailey Harris officiating. The family will receive friends following services. Private family interment will be at Rock Springs Cemetery in Gladewater.
