Freida Faye Harper, daughter of Claude Yeisley and Neva Dewhirst Yeisley was born on August 25, 1935 in Ava, MO and passed away on December 8, 2007 in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, MO at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 13 days.
Faye was a lifelong resident of the Ava community. She was a homemaker and also had worked at Rawlings Sporting Goods and Spaldings as Production Operator. On July 16, 1952 Faye and Wilburn Web Harper were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, AR and to this union one daughter was born. Faye was a member of the Goodhope Nazarene Church.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Web in 2001. Her survivors include a daughter and her husband, Bobbi & Dennis Cunningham, Sparta, MO, two special grandsons, David Welsh, Ava, MO and Daniel Cunningham, Sparta, MO, six great grandchildren, Kayla, Breanna, Kiara, Jazmine, Nathan and Chyenne, one nephew, Ted, two nieces, Karen and Diane, one brother, John Yeisley, Ava, MO, one sister, Naomi Short, Rupert, Idaho and a host of other relatives and friends.
Service for Faye is Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, 2:00 p.m. at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with the Rev. Kevin Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in the Arden Cemetery west of Ava. A dinner will be held at the First General Baptist Church after the service. Family requests memorials to Gideon's or Arden Cemetery.
