Deanna Sylvia Kluckman was born on August 7, 1940 in Hendricks, MN to Olaf and Sylvia (Olson) Anderson. She was raised on a farm east of Clear Lake where she attended country school and continued her education at the Clear Lake High School.
Deanna was united in marriage on November 11, 1957 to Theodore Kluckman in Madison, MN. They lived on a farm west of Clear Lake for 12 years before they moved into Clear Lake. Over the years, Deanna worked for the Good Samaritan Home, Deuel County National Bank, Raven Industries, So-Fro Fabrics and Willard's Trustworthy Hardware Store.
Deanna lost a courageous battle with cancer at her residence on Friday, December 7, 2007 at the age of 67 years and 4 months.
Deanna was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, SD where she was very active in the quilters and served as WELCA treasurer. She also served as past chairman of the survivor's committee for the New Hope Cancer Walk. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, knitting and gardening. Deanna loved her family, grandchildren and dog Sadie.
Deanna is lovingly remembered by her husband, Theodore Kluckman of Clear Lake, SD; four children: Dawn (Robert) Johnson of Watertown, SD, Sherri (Bruce) DeBaere of Clear Lake, SD, Randy (Pam) Kluckman of Clear Lake, SD and Cindy (Kelly) McDaniel of Clear Lake, SD; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild and two sisters, Kathleen Rabenberg of Minneapolis, MN and Marilyn Steinbach of Tonapah, AZ.
Deanna is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Norval Anderson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Deanna Kluckman, age 67, of Clear Lake, SD will be Wednesday, December 12, 2007 in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Clear Lake, SD.
Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Clear Lake, SD.
