Toledo - Eva P. (Swineford) Bunte, 82, died peacefully on Sunday, October 3, 2021, in Sylvania, Ohio, after a brief illness.
Eva was born March 15, 1939, in Ashland, Ohio, to Kent and Pauline (Witmer) Swineford, and raised on her parents' farm.
Eva was a 1957 graduate of Ashland High School. Eva enjoyed a long career as an administrative secretary in a variety of settings, including Hope Lutheran Church, Owens Corning, and several law firms. She enjoyed sewing and home decorating and brought artistic touches to both of those callings. She was intentional in her appearance, always making sure to look her best.
Left to cherish Eva's memory are her husband of 30 years, Bruce Bunte; sons, Scott Gilliam (Cathy) of West Chester, Jeff Gilliam (Jim Bell) of Portland, OR, and Kirk Gilliam (Joyce) of Maumee; three grandchildren, Erin (Bob) Zarker, Matthew Gilliam, and Kelsey (Sean) Roach; and three great grandchildren, Penelope Zarker, Nora Roach, and Jack Zarker.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, and by siblings Gerald Swineford, Fern McCullough, Roger Swineford, Gene Swineford, and Forest Swineford.
