On January 23, 1970, Ali was born in Clinton, Missouri, a daughter of Audrey (Redford) Pugh and William L. Smith. She graduated from high school in El Centro, California, and later furthered her education by receiving her Bachelor's in Business Administration from Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
Ali proudly served her country as a medic in the U.S. Navy.
While having a drink in a Navy bar, Ali met the love of her life, Mark Allen Crose. They were married on October 16, 1995 in Washington and shared the last 25 wonderful years together as husband and wife.
For many years, Ali worked as a customer service manager for Wal-Mart and then held several positions in the receiving department for the Kroger Distribution Center. She was a very dedicated worker and made sure to take care of those she worked with.
Ali will be remembered as a caring, energetic woman who loved people. She lived by the motto "Ask for forgiveness rather than permission" and it was always "her way or the highway."
Ali will be dearly missed by her husband, Mark, of Mount Gilead; five children: Michael (Kaelani) Smith, Justin (Jennifer Rettig) McCray, Dannielle (Jeffrey Krall) Davis, Clint (Sierra) Crose, Samuel (Makaylia) Crose; five grandchildren: Keigon Neal, Elisabetta Lewis, Emmaneuel Lewis, Aiyden Crose, Zanuel Crose; her mother, Audrey Pugh; her father, William Smith; three brothers: Jeremy (Candy) Smith, Matthew Pugh, Caleb Smith; her uncle, Ronnie (Wanda) Redford, five nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins, extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robbie Pugh Jr.; and her grandparents: Sam and Jane Smith and Doris and Chester Redford.
