Obituary

Nancy Allmon Wallace passed away peacefully surrounded by family October 13, 2021.
Nancy was born April 21, 1931 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Alice Littleton Patterson and Chester Arthur Patterson, just 11 months after her older twin brothers. She grew up in downtown Chicago, spending her summers with her family in Nippersink, WI. She graduated from Purdue University in 1952 with a with a B.S. in Home Economics. As an adult she lived in Dallas, Texas, Lubbock, Texas and settled in 1968 with her three children in Greeley, Colorado, after accepting a teaching position in Childhood Development at the then Colorado State College, now University of Northern Colorado. She loved Colorado and the mountains.
Nancy strongly trusted in her faith to guide her through life and enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, travel and the Denver Broncos. She also possessed a wit and humor, especially during her last years, that kept her caretakers smiling. She was kind, generous and happy hearted.
In her later years, she married Gordon Wallace, and they enjoyed travelling, attending local musical events and their dogs, Shasta and Skipper.
Although many memories had faded these last few years, she was aware of, proud and able to convey her great love for her family to the very end.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Wallace, parents Alice Littleton Patterson and Chester Author Patterson, twin brothers Stuart Patterson and Wallace Patterson. She is survived by son, Stuart (Teri) Allmon, Albuquerque, NM, daughters Gayle (Larry) Smith, Arlington, TX, Sarah Allmon, Albuquerque, NM, grandsons Kevin (Brittany) Smith, Little Rock, AR, Hunter (Lexi) Allmon, Durango, CO, granddaughters Jennifer (David) Throntveit, Queens Creek, AZ, Kristen (Zach) Meyer, Austin, TX, Kyla (Kyle) Hensley, Temple, TX, eight great grandchildren, DJ Throntveit, Shelby Throntveit, Braden Smith, Holden Smith, Brooklyn Smith, June Meyer, Joanna Meyer, Weldon Meyer with a ninth on the way, with a due date of her birthday, April 21.
