Waldemar J. Frese

Doctor Waldemar J. Frese died May 8, at the age of 93. Doc was company Commander over a Medical Unit in World War II and had a successful dental practice in Chicago after graduating from Northwestern University in Chicago.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Emma Frese, a brother, sister, a stepson, his daughter, and his first wife of 40 years, Eleanor.

Doc married Julia Webster-Jardine in 1984 in Salt Lake City.

He will always be known for his adventuresome spirit. He will also be remembered for his joy in being able to travel and enjoy the many great and beautiful colors and wonders of the land he loved, especially on his many trips to Florida. One of his greatest joys was fly fishing. As a younger man, he was an avid baseball pitcher with one mean curve ball.

Doc will always be known for being a loving companion and devoted parent. It has always been stated that to have Doc as a neighbor, you had the best of the best next door.

His survivors are his wife Julie and son of Illinois, two stepdaughters of Utah, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held Monday, May 12 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
