Funeral services, celebrating the life of Clarence Norbert Gregory, 88, of Pataskala, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 in the Newark Baptist Temple, 81 Licking View Drive, Newark. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Pataskala Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Kathleen Gregory, who preceded him in death on May 2, 2018.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening, October 25, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 E Main St. in Kirkersville.
Norbert passed away on October 21, 2021 at his residence in Pataskala, surrounded by those he loved most: his daughter Elizabeth, granddaughters Tabetha and Kristen and their children, of whom he thought the world of. He was born December 24, 1932 in Portland, Tennessee, the son of the late Harvey J. and Essie Mae (Deasey) Gregory. He served honorably in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired after many years of service at AT&T Lucent. He was a member of the Newark Baptist Temple, enjoyed gardening and mowing lawns. He loved working outdoors, and was quite the jokester.
He is survived by his loving family: daughters Debra Meek, Jane Sinon and Elizabeth Laurenz; his 7 grandchildren including Tabetha (Alexander) Frazier, Kristen (Jon) McNamara; his twenty great grandchildren including Jay, Lyndsey, Breonna, Joseph, Evan, Jonathan, Brady, Taylor, Jordan and Chloe.
