Tuesday, January 31, 1905, Mrs. Indiana Stacy died at the family home of C. P. Stacy, southeast of Lyons, after a lingering illness caused by old age.
Mrs. Stacy's husband died several years ago. She was the mother of two sons, C. P. and W. E. Stacy, and two daughters, living, Elizabeth Hanson, of Clark county, and Rhett Benefield, of Lyons. Two daughters have preceded her in death. She was born in 1818 in Floyd county, her age being 86 years. She had lived in Washington township for about 32 years.
She had been a member of the Christian church since she was a girl. Interment at the Mount Zion cemetery.
