THOMAS----Margaret Edith (Strick), 88, Johnstown, went to be with her Lord on October 16, 2021.
Born November 3, 1932, daughter of Evan W. and Margaret A. (Irons) Strick.
Preceded in death by parents; husband of 54 years, Harold R.Thomas Sr., who passed away in 2003; great-grandson, Gabriel Gindlesperger; brothers, Evan Jr., Harry, Richard, Gene and Bernard; and sister, Wynetta Chirdon.
Survived by children, Beverly Cunningham (Art Wright), Somerset; Harold Thomas Jr. (Donna), Williamsport, David Thomas, Augusta, GA; and Gale Zoldak (Jerome), Homer City; grandchildren, Warren Theodore Myers II, Andrea Cunningham, Ryan Cunningham, Corey Thomas, Jessica (Dennis) Lukowsky, David Scott Thomas, Carrie (John) Carlson, Stefanie (Daniel) Lane, Kimberly Zoldak (Derek Meyers); honorary grandsons, Jason and Randy Fyock; great-grandchildren, Sophie Myers, Piper Myers, Cohen Conner, Brady Thomas, Gage Thomas, Elizabeth Carlson, Harrison Lane, Aubrey Lane and Scarlett Lane. Sister of Ronald Strick, Joanne McGill, Mary Catherine Erb, Sandra Hoover and Pamela Dobrota.
Margaret and Harold were members of Locust Grove Church of the Brethren where they were very involved in church activities. They were involved with the Church of the Brethren Disaster Relief Missions. They went on mission trips to help with hurricane relief. Margaret enjoyed making birthday and wedding cakes for her family and local couples and their families over the years. She also enjoyed sewing clothing and blankets for family and friends.
The family will receive family and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and again from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Mike Kenney officiating.
Committal, Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, 1421 Clapboard Run Road, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Margaret E. Thomas. Online condolences may be posted at www.wharrisfuneralhome.com.
