Services for Paula M. Kuester, 65, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rumsey Funeral Home with the Revs. Tim Folds and Tom Patton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Kuester died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 1991, at a Lawrence nursing home.
She was born Oct. 14, 1925, in Granby, Mo., the daughter of William Dewey and Cynthia Anna Capps Beaver.
She attended Granby schools and moved to Lawrence in 1943. She worked at the Sunflower Ordnance plant for two years, at the Poehler Mercantile Co. for three years, and then for Dr. George Brahler for 10 years.
She was a member of the Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church, Lawrence, where she taught Sunday school, was librarian and served on the executive board and church council.
She married Herman Calvin Kuester on Sept. 11, 1943, at Eudora. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Kenneth, Miami, Okla., and Dennis, of Lawrence; a daughter, Kathy Rothwell, Lawrence; two brothers, Duane Beaver and William Beaver, both of Granby; a sister, Vivian Bridge, Granby; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon until 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.
