James (Butch) Russell Cullifer, 80, of Paris, MO passed away on October 14, 2021 at the University Hospital in Columbia, MO.

Butch was born on May 19, 1941 in Monroe County, MO the son of Russell and Mary Williams Cullifer. He married Deborah Beamer on November 23, 2001 in Paris and she survives at the home. Other survivors include his children; Son Jeff Cullifer of Wheatland, MO and a daughter; Kim Brooks of Paola, Kansas; Aspen (Abe) Bell, Alex Brooks (Tancy Goodwin) one sister-in-law; Martha Cullifer and a sister June (Wayne) Ewing. Preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Gene Cullifer.

He grew up in Paris, MO and then moved to Kansas City, MO where he worked at General Motor Leeds Plant for 28 years before retiring and moved back to Paris. Butch served as an Alderman of Paris for 12 years. He loved to hunt, fish and play golf, ride his Harley Davidson. Butch was a collector. He would collect John Deer memorabilia and had a large sign collection.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Agnew Funeral Home in Paris, MO with Reverend Donna Scott officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Paris.
