Kenneth "Ken" Lee Baker was born on January 26, 1957 in Roswell, NM to JD and Joeanna (Tripp) Baker. Ken passed away on October 14, 2021 in Ardmore, OK at age 64. In 1966 they moved to Colorado Springs, CO and lived there until 1969 when he returned with his family to Tishomingo where he graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1975. After graduation he continued his education and obtained an associates degree from Murray State Collage. On June 10th 1978 he married Tammy Holman in Tishomingo. The same year he began his career in the mining industry with Delta Mining Corp. at an entry level position with a shovel in his hand. In 1990 Delta was purchased by Unimin Corp, he continued his career with Unimin and reached the positions of Safety/ Health and Quality Control Supervisor. He continued in this position at Mill Creek Dolomite until his passing. He
was proud of his time in mining industry and the life long friendships he made along the way. He loved to fish and enjoyed woodworking. He was most proud being Husband, Dad, and Poppa.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents JD and Joeanna Baker and father-in-law Clint Ward.

He is survived by wife Tammy, his sons Jared Baker of Tishomingo, Clint Baker and wife Jessica of Tishomingo. His grandchildren Rhaegan, Beau, and Eli. His sister Carol Bamonte of Highlands Ranch, CO.
