Jane Greenlee, was born, Mary Jane THOMPSON to Joseph C. THOMPSON and Nancy FULTON Thompson in Corydon area, Wayne County, Iowa. She was the 12th of 13 children. Jane had two older brothers, William and Theopilus who served in the Civil War on the Union side who did not survive. A third older brother, Theodore P. THOMPSON, served in the war, but survived. Her Grandfather James Jackson Fulton was very active in the Underground Railroad in Rimersburg, PA, helping slaves escape to freedom.

Jane's older sister Sarah THOMPSON Nelson is buried in the same cemetery as Jane. Find A Grave Find A Grave Memorial# 61431018.
