Services for William C Mobley, 89, 310 W Taft, are pending and will be announced by the Owen Funeral Home.

Mr Mobley died Thursday at the Bartlett Memorial Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr Mobley was born near Norman, Ark on April 11, 1895 and moved to Sapulpa in 1932 from Mounds.

He worked for the Sapulpa Ice Company, Wickhams Meat Company, and the City of Sapulpa, and was also a farmer. Mr Mobley served in the US Calvary during World War I, was a member of the Sapulpa DAV, and a member of the Ridgeway Baptist Church, where he served as deacon.

Survivors include a son, Lloyd Mobley, Sapulpa; a daughter, Eunice Shelton, Sapulpa; four brothers, James Mobley, Mounds, Joe Mobley, Modesto, Cal, Grant Mobley, Bakersfield, Cal and Jess Mobley, Sapulpa; two sisters, Grace Clay, Sapulpa and Bessie Brooks, Lindsey, Cal; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family will headquarter at the home of Eunice Shelton, 1810 E Line.

Services for Mr William C Mobley, Sapulpa, are set for 10 am Monday at Ridgeway Baptist Church with the Rev Overton Washington officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, under the direction of the Owen Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be members of the Disabled American Veterans, including Herbert Rowland, Oscar Wright, Howard Stroup, Edwin Shadowens, Bill Lance and Orbie Wise.
