Mr. James W. Mobley, 87, Mounds, [Oklahoma] died today at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center [Sapulpa, Oklahoma]. Services are pending with Smith Funeral Home [Sapulpa].

He was born Jan. 15, 1901 in Blacksprings, Ark. He lived in the Mounds and Sapulpa area most of his life.

Mr. Mobley was employed as an oil field worker for L. B. Jackson Co., and also [worked] for Liberty Glass Co., [Sapulpa]. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Sapulpa.

Survivors include sons, J. W. and John, both of Mounds, Harold of Tulsa, and Alva and Frankie, both of Sapulpa; daughters, Margaret Buttram of Mounds and Barbara Castleberry of Sapulpa; brothers, Grant of California and Jesse of Sapulpa; sisters, Bessie Brooks of Modesto, Calif. and Grace Clay of Sapulpa; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at the Castleberry home, northwest of Sapulpa.
