Norma Barrett, 90, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born on May 22, 1931 in Clark County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Samuel and Rose (Wyne) Righthouse. On August 4, 1949 she married Willard Barrett, who passed away on November 13, 2008. She was a homemaker who loved her family. She was known for her infectious smile and laugh. Norma attended the Safe Harbor Church of God Austin, Indiana. In addition to her parents and husband Norma is preceded in death by her five sisters, Nancy, Viola, Violet, Gladys, and Ruthie. Survivors include six daughters, Sheila Rose Howell of Salem, Indiana, Grace Elaine (Darrell) DeWeese of Salem, Indiana, Teresa Sanders of Scottsburg, Indiana, Theia (Paul) Provost of Eagle Rock, Virginia; Renita Lee Waldon of Scottsburg, Indiana; Roberta Ann (Pete) Stacy of Scottsburg, Indiana; one sister, Mildred Ann Botsford of Scottsburg, Indiana fifteen grandchildren; and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She also raised Stephanie White (William "Book") of Ellison Virginia and Paige Barham (Chris) of Roanoke, Virginia. Funeral Service: 12:00 Noon Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Johnson officiating. Visitation 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Wednesday before the services at Collins Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Spurgeon Cemetery in Austin, Indiana.
