Lottie Brookhart died peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009. Born and raised in Paterson, she lived in Wayne, and then in Sussex County for 30 years, where she and her husband Paul raised their four children, before moving to Little Egg Harbor four years ago.

Mrs. Brookhart had worked as a manager at the former SS Kresge store in Paterson and later worked for many years for Katterman Farms in Wantage.

The daughter of the late Jozef and Frances Zaleski, she is survived by her husband of 52 years, Paul Brookhart; two sons, Paul Brookhart and his wife, Janet, of Pleasanton, Calif. and Ronald Brookhart of Little Egg Harbor; two daughters, Diane Brookhart of Branchville and Laura Meyers of Ogdensburg; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at noon at the Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main Street, Branchville. Interment will follow at Branchville Cemetery. Friends may call on the family Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
