An early member and leader of the National Council of Jewish Women. Also a member of Washington Hebrew Congregation, former member and secretary of the Board of Directors. An active member and program director, Woman's National Democratic Club. Worked in the office of First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. A member of Woodmont Country Club, community volunteer, philanthropist, role model, traveler, reader, consumer of culture, talented needle pointer, genealogist and above all a matriarch. Preceded in death by beloved husbands Maynard I. Cohen and Howard W. Fineshriber; devoted mother of Lawrence F. (Lucy) Cohen, Alan P. (Linda) Cohen, Robert M. (Amy Katz) Cohen, Bruce H. (Betsy) Cohen, Barbara F. Adler, Frank (Christa) Fineshriber; cherished grandmother of Claire, Todd, David, Jason, Nancy, Gregory, Scott, William, Lynne and Craig; great-grandmother of Chloe, Alexander, Anna, Isabella, Emilia, Brooks, Sarah, Jordan, Peter, Julia, Benjamin, Joshua.
