Funeral services for Mrs. Irene Hatsfelt, age 89, will be held on Monday, November 24, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Rush Funeral Home South Chapel with the Rev. David Holder officiating. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home of Oakdale.

Mrs. Hatsfelt passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at the St. Frances Nursing Home in Oberlin. She was a long time member of the Oakdale First Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held at the Rush Funeral Home South on Sunday, November 2 , 2003 from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m.. On Monday, visitation will resume at 8 a.m. and continue until time of services.

Survivors include one son, Preston Hatsfelt and his wife Sherry of Sulphur; one daughter, Naomi H. Reed of Oakdale; seven grandchildren, Herbert Reed, Jr. and his wife Kara, Gary M. Reed and his wife Rhonda, Donald M. Reed and his wife Dina, Todd Butler and his wife Missy, Kim Derouen and her husband Brandon, Rene Stanley and Naomi Hatsfelt. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hatsfelt was preceded in death by her husband, Preston E. Hatsfelt, Sr.; her parents, two brothers, nine sisters and one granddaughter.
