Olin had moved to Bridge City in 1951 and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Bridge City. He was a WWII Army veteran and worked as a process operator at DuPont Sabine River Works for twenty eight years.
Olin is preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Mahfouz Elliott, brothers, Abe and Ned Mahfouz, sisters, Lucille Revil, Odell Latham and Yvonne Farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerite Mahfouz, daughter, Faye Knight and husband Chris, granddaughters, Rachel Bernal and husband Luis and Amanda Uzzle, grandsons and wives, Chuck Uzzle and Leslie, Brady Pullen and Candyce, Christopher Knight and Jennifer, T.J. Knight and Selena, Cody Knight and Lauren, and Jamey Knight and Kari; his great-grandchildren, Hunter, Jordan, Kelsey, Devon, Tanner, Braden, Parker, Maddy, Callie, Caleb, Jonah, Jackson, Tristian, Pierceson, brother, Nima Mahfouz and Helen and sister, Maxine Morgan.
