Mrs. Laura C. Martin
Atlanta, Kan. - Mrs. Laura C. Martin, 76, a Winfield Nursing home resident, died Wednesday at 12:25 p.m. at the Winfield hospital.
She was born Oct. 26, 1894, at Cosby, Mo., to James and Isabelle Brannum. She married Ernest Martin on June 5, 1918, at Winfield, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1956.
She was a member of the United Methodist church and Rebecca Lodge.
Survivors include one son, Ernest Jr., of Winfield, three daughters, Mrs. Ellowen Bean of Winfield, Mrs. Earlene Scott and Mrs. Esleen Fisher of Atlanta, three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Tredway, Mrs. Edith Brown, both of Winfield, and Mrs. Gertrude Groom of Atlanta, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist church, with burial in the Atlanta cemetery under the direction of Miles Mortuary at Burden.
