Ernest Martin Rites At Atlanta on Tuesday
Funeral services for Ernest Martin, 74, long-time resident of the Atlanta community, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Atlanta Methodist church. Services will be conducted by Rev. Lyle Sneary of the Atlanta church and Rev. S. Ben Finley, pastor of the Tisdale Methodist church. Miles Mortuary of Burden will be in charge. Martin died Sunday afternoon. He had been a patient for some time at Newton Memorial hospital. He was born west of Atlanta on Jan. 11, 1882, son of Mr. and Mrs. Simon W. Martin. He was in the grocery business in Atlanta for about 40 years. He was married to Laura Branum Jan 5, 1918 at Winfield, who survives him.

Other survivors include a son Ernest of Winfield; three daughters, Mrs. Elloween Bean and Mrs. Earleane Scott, both of Winfield, and Mrs. Eileen Bishop, Atlanta. Also surviving are a brother, Alva of Wichita; two sisters Mrs. [illegible], Atlanta, and Mrs. Lanterman, Douglass; and eight grandchildren. The deceased was a member for many years of the Atlanta Methodist Church and the IOOF and Rebekah lodges.
