JOHNS CREEK — Virgie Thornsbury Cantrell, 88, of Johns Creek, died at 10:55 a.m. at her home.
Born February 15, 1889 in Pike County, she was the daughter of the late Will M. and Pricy Thornsbury. Her husband, Clinton W. Cantrell preceded her in death in 1975.
Survivors include four sons, Willie Stiltner, John H. Stiltner, Lee B. Stiltner, and Dewey Stiltner, all of Kimper; three daughters, Myrtle McCoy of Ewington, Ohio, Ora Meyers of Warsaw, Ind., and Bertie Smith of Kimper; two sisters, Stella Asher of Manchester, Ky., and Georgia Thornsbury of Kimper; and 50 grandchildren and 102 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Little Virgie Regular Baptist Church with Regular Baptist Ministers
Burial will follow in the Justice cemetery at Virgie.
The body is at the church where friends may call and services be held nightly at 7.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Justice Funeral Home of Pikeville.
