He was born July 27, 1949, in Meredosia, to Rev. Leonard VanHyning Sr. and F. Rosetta EasleyVanHyning. Richard married Bonnie Lou Nave and she preceded him in death.
Mr. VanHyning is survived by three children, Barb (Mike) Howell, Richard (Debbie) VanHyning Jr., and Johnnie (Ashley) VanHyning, all of Meredosia; eleven grandchildren, Josh, Tiffany, Jesse, Braydan, Brianna, Landyn, Marshall, Lillyana, Liam, Kayleigh, and Calvin; eleven great grandchildren, Chase, Hayden, Kyle, Greyson, Sophia, Kinsley, Thomas, Mia, Maddy, Jade, and Alex; and four siblings, Vera Cloninger of Meredosia, Kenneth VanHyning of Marion, VA, and John (Robert Lengnel) VanHyning and Jan Vanhyning (Alvin) Grant, both of Avon Park, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; great granddaughter, Gracie Ann Howell; and two brothers, Leonard VanHyning Jr. (surviving wife, Cindy of Texas) and Gerald Dale VanHyning.
Richard was a member of Operative Plasterers & Cement Masons. He enjoyed just about anything, camping, boating, and fishing. He also enjoyed mushroom, ginseng, and arrowhead hunting, and taking rides through the country. He especially loved his grandchildren."Until We Meet Again", Mornin'!
