The Troy Times, Troy NY, 10/19/1907, Page 06: "Christopher Bell, a resident of Cohoes for many years, and widely known, died yesterday afternoon at his home, 52 Van Rensselaer Avenue. He was for many years in the produce business in Cohoes and highly esteemed. He had been ill for several months, He Is survived by his wife, one son, Nelson Bell, and two daughters, Minnie and Charlotte. Mr. Bell was a Veteran of the Civil War and served with distinction. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence and the service will be conducted by Rev. J. H. Clark of St. James Methodist Church. Interment will be at Waterford Cemetery."
