Judge E. Y. Terral Dead.
Judge E.Y. Terral, one of the most prominent and oldest Democrats in Milam county passed away Wednesday morning at his home in the city.
He was 70 years of age, a Confederate soldier, and resided in the county for forty years. He was county judge for twelve years a commissioner for eight years. he was a member of the Baptist church and has ever been one of our highly esteemed citizens.
Judge Terral was a native of Mississippi and enlisted in Company F. Sixteenth Mississippi infantry. On account of ill health he returned home in 1862, moved to Texas in 1863; then enlisted again in Bradford's regiment. After the war he settled in Milam county, and has been one of our most active promoters in every interest of public welfare. The bereaved family has the sincere sympathy of the entire county in their great sorrow.
The funeral took place at 5 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Slocum burying ground a few miles from town. - Cameron Hearld
