James Stonewall Terral was a very skilled carpenter and a bee-keeper. He read magazines on farming. He sat in a big chair and the family would gather around him at times. He would read the Bible and they would sing relgious songs together like "Amazing Grace." He taught "Baby Ethel" the science of bee-keeping, and she learned to help him with it. She would sew his beekeeping clothes when she got a little older. He taught her how to collect the honey without getting stung.
