Carrie was remembered for her great love of sewing, quilting and her love for others. Her gift of great faith that she had in Jesus was demonstrated to her children for many years. Of the many gifts she gave, one of the greatest was the gift of love. "He Only Takes the Best . . . God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around her and whispered, "Come with me." With tear-filled eyes we watched her suffer and fade away. Although we love her deeply, we could not make her stay."
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at the Buffalo Mountain Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Michael Sutphin, Rev. Robert R. Tolar and Rev. Neil Eidson officiating. Burial will follow in the Spence Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Tuesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
