Natalie Elizabeth Herold, 69, of 1924 Palm Drive, died suddenly at her home. [Natalie was a murder victim. Two male teens broke into her home and beat her to death].
She was born in Shiner, Texas, and had been a resident of Corpus Christi most of her life. She was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Her husband, Franklin H. Herold, preceded her in death in 1980.
Her survivors include one son, Donald Franklin Herold of Round Rock, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Fralene Scott of Houston, Texas; four brothers, Arnold Schendel of Yorktown, Texas, Raymond Schendel of Runge, Texas, Dick Schendel of Goliad, Texas, Parky Schendel of Runge, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Lorene Merchord [Merkord]of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Thelma Miller of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Gladys Crews of Karnes City, and Mrs. Mildred Lester of Uvalde, Texas; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Arlyn Russert officiating. Interment services will follow in Seaside Memorial Park. Ross Langham Mortuary.
