He was born Dec. 21, 1944, in Sharon, Pa., to Alfred Clyde and Clara Rose (Brumage) Heck. He married Patricia A. Eastlick on June 12, 1965, in Greenville, Pa.
Surviving is his wife, Patricia of East Peoria; two sons, Kenneth Heck of St. Paul, Minn., and Matthew Heck of Normal, Ill.; two daughters, Penelope "Penny" (and Joseph) Pirelli of Groveland, Ill., and Pamela (and Danny) Chinn of Morton, Ill.; one brother, Alfred Lee (and Lydia) Heck of Morgantown, W. Va.; two sisters, Lillian (and Robert) Marley of Greenville, Pa., and Ellen (and Charles) Mills of Salem, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five sisters.
He was a cable TV engineer for Continental Cablevision in Ohio, Minnesota and Illinois, retiring in 1991 after 23 years of service.
And he was a minister at New Beginning Baptist Church in East Peoria. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Morton, where he served as a Sunday school teacher and was involved with Southern Baptist Disaster Relief. He also was a member of the Society of Cable Television Engineers and a pastoral ministries director of the Metro Peoria Baptist Association.
Burial will be in Hirstein Cemetery in Morton.
