In her late teens her family moved to Missouri. She married John W. Hansell on January 28, 1869, in Crawford County, Missouri. She was mother to Willis, Elizabeth, Lois and an unnamed baby boy. The family moved to Texas, then to Oklahoma. She and John were in Grapevine, Texas, where her son, Willis, lived when she passed away at the age of 75. She was returned to her home, Marlow, Oklahoma, for burial.
