Parents: Ralph Decumsey and Elva (Tremain) Anderson

Residential: He was born and raised in Decatur County, Jackson Township.

Education: He graduated from Jackson Township High School in 1934, and from Indiana
Central Business College, Indianapolis, in 1936. He attended Wabash College
in Crawfordsville, Indiana for 2½ years, majoring in speech and psychology.
In both high school and college he participated in musical & dramatic productions.
In later years he enjoyed playing the piano and singing funny songs to entertain
his grandchildren.

Military Service: He was a veteran of WWII having served his country in the Army Air Corps.

Occupation: He farmed in Jackson Township for 30 years during which time he also work at
the E.I. Dupont Munitions Plant at Charleston, Indiana for 2 1/2 years and worked for
Prairie Farmer WLS in Chicago for 2 years. While engaged in farming, he served on
the Rush-Decatur Federal Land Bank Board for 25 years, the District Farm Credit
Board of Louisville for 9 years and serving as Board Chairman for 2 years, Served as
Chairman of the Fiscal Agency Board of New York City for 6 years, Served on Quinco
Board in Bartholomew County for 4 years, Served on the Human Services Board,
representing Decatur County since 1983.

Memberships: Member of the Sardinia Baptist Church and former Trustee of the 1959 Building Program.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #395, formerly of Alert, now of Elizabethtown, IN.

He was a member of the Scottish Rite Class of 1952.

He was a member of the American Legion and was made a Kentucky Colonel in 1959.
